33% of target population vaxxed in NE city

CABANATUAN CITY – A total of 68,075 individuals or 33 percent of the 207,248 target population have so far been vaccinated against the coronavirus disease here as of Sept. 25, 2021.

In a report, the city government said that 139,173 residents still need to be vaccinated in a bid to reach herd immunity in Nueva Ecija’s trade and education center.

Of the 68,075 vaccinated, 47,319 are done with their full doses.

Records from the city vaccination office showed that of the A1 priority group, 4,211 have received first dose while 3,085 have their full vaccination; for A2, 17,807 got their first dose and 16,447 were fully vaccinated; for A3, 24,972 got first dose and 21,616 were fully vaccinated and; for A4, 21,085 had their first dose while 6,171 were fully vaccinated.

“Umaasa ang Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Cabanatuan na tuloy-tuloy ang supply na dadating sa mga susunod na buwan at nagpapasalamat kami sa pasensya at pang-unawa ng mga taga-Cabanatuan,” the LGU statement reads.

Local officials maintained that the LGU had put up funds to purchase vaccines but has to rely on the national government’s allocation for the moment, owing to tripartite arrangement.
