ZARAGOZA, Nueva Ecija – A suspected big time drug peddler from Tarlac province was arrested after yielding P30,000 worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sto. Rosario Young here at about 6:20 p.m. Wednesday.
Zaragoza police chief Major Jaime Ferrer identified the suspect as Jesus Marcos, 40, of San Juan De Valdez, San Jose, Tarlac.
In his report to Nueva Ecija police director Col. Jaime Santos, Ferrer said that Marcos even tried to elude arrest after selling a sachet of shabu to an undercover lawman by speeding on an AUV (AAJ 8332), prompting operatives to shoot the vehicle’s left rear tire.
“Confiscated from his possession and control were four small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu,” Ferrer said.
Investigators also recovered from the suspect the two marked P500 bills and seized other items such as a mobile phone, improvised tooter and alcohol burner and the AUV, police said.
Ferrer said the buy-bust operation was conducted in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
