CLARK FREEPORT – The hosts and crew of the popular Philippine noontime variety program “It’s Showtime” made their way here and chose this Freeport as their location for their show’s live broadcast.
One of the hosts, Jose Marie Viceral also known as ‘Vice Ganda’, expressed his gratitude for accommodating their show in the Freeport. Their live telecast in Clark will air until August 21, 2021.
Viceral said that by staging their broadcast here, they were able to ensure the continuity of their show despite the strict lockdown measures enforced in Metro Manila and other areas of Luzon.
“Sa madlang-Pampanga, maraming-maraming salamat po at kinupkop niyo kami panandalian, pansamantala,” he said.
“Pinapasok niyo kami sa inyong lugar, sa inyong tahanan, nang sa ganoon ay maituloy namin ang aming pagseserbisyo at pag-ere nang live para sa aming madlang Pipol,” he added.
Other hosts of the show including, Vhong Navarro, Jugs Jugueta, Karylle, Teddy Corpuz, Amy Perez, Ryan Bang, Kim Chiu, and Ion Perez, will also stay here for the show’s airing in the next two weeks.
The hosts also got the chance to explore the various locations in the Freeport such as the bike paths, Clark International Airport, and other sites here.
Meanwhile, Karylle and Ryan Bang visited the Clark Safari (Global Zoo) as part of the show’s location reveal for the program’s opening. The show even gained the top trending topic on Twitter as the ‘madlang pipol’ tried to guess the program’s current location using the hashtag ‘#FindingShowtime’.
Viceral later confirmed the show’s location through its opening minutes. This was also verified via It’s Showtime’s official Twitter account which stated, “Yes! #WeFoundShowtime in Clark Pampanga!”.
“Naririto po kami ngayon sa Clark, Pampanga para maituluy-tuloy namin ang pagseserbisyo sa inyo nang live dahil alam na alam namin na, lalo pa’t higit ngayong ECQ sa NCR, kailangang-kailangan namin pagaanin ang inyong kalooban,” he said.
It is the first time that the noontime show mounted a live production and aired in the Freeport during the pandemic.
