STA CRUZ, Zambales – In hiding for almost nine years from the law, a woman with a string of warrants for her arrest finally fell in the hands of local police Tuesday in Barangay Naulo here.
The suspect was identified as Lucila Morete y Ebuen, 49, of the said barangay, and listed No. 1 Top Most Wanted Person in town.
Morete was arrested by virtue of alias warrant for four counts of estafa under Criminal Case Nos. RTC -6809-I to RTC-6812-I dated Jan. 31, 2013 and three counts of illegal recruitment under Criminal Case Nos. RTC-6074-to RTC-6076 issued by Judge Consuelo Amog-Bocar of RTC Branch 71 dated July 16, 2012.
Apprised of the arrest, Police Regional Office 3 direcot Brig. Gen. Valeriano T. De Leon said: “The entire Central Luzon police force together with other police units continues its intensified campaign to put lawless elements and wanted persons behind bars and maximizes its efforts to eradicate all forms of lawlessness in the region.”
