QUEZON, Nueva Ecija – Shabu worth some P300,000 was seized while two persons were arrested by anti-drugs agents in a buy–bust operation in Barangay Doña Lucia here Monday night.
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Central Luzon director Christian Frivaldo identified the arrested suspects as John Cevin Fernandez aka Barbie, 29, and Laila Almerol, 40, both of Licab town.
In his report to PDEA director general Wilkins Villanueva, Frivaldo said the operation against the suspects was hatched upon confirming intelligence information on their supposed illicit activity.
The suspects yielded some 50 grams of shabu, the P1,000 marked money, a motorcycle, and mobile phone, PDEA reported.
Charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against the duo.
