OLONGAPO CITY — Three suspected drug pushers and three others in the wanted persons list were arrested in a joint drug operation of Olongapo City Police Office and Northern Police District at 26thStreet, Barangay East Bajac-Bajac here on Maundy Thursday.
OCPO director Col. Benjamin Sembrano said the drug operation stemmed from a previous buy-bust operation of the Drug Enforcement Unit of the NPD-Caloocan City where a total of 105 grams of shabu wasconfiscated with the arrest of three drug personalities.
In follow–up operations led by Police Lt. Col. Giovanni Hycenth Caliao of NPD, arrested were Jonalyn Igbus y Colong, Reuben Melencio y Biong, Nino Roble y Dimapase, and Jemylyn Colong y Cabanes alias Malyn.
Confiscated from the suspects were five medium sized heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with an approximate weight of 502 grams, with an estimated street value of P3,413,000.
Police also seized two pieces of P1,000 bills that sandwiched 231 pieces of fake P1,000 bills used as buy-bust money, two cellphones, a black and brown paper bag, a white sando bag, a sling bag, and a weighing scale.
Meanwhile, the three wanted persons arrested were identified as Leonora Colong y Cabanes, Ruben Cawaling y Tan, Lizbeth Colong y Cabanes, all cohorts of Malyn Colong.
The three were arrested by virtue of warrants of arrestissued by acting Presiding Judge Soliver C Peras of RTC, Branch 15, Ozamiz City for violation of Section 11, Article II of RA 9165 and violation of RA 9516 (Illegal Possession of Explosives), respectively with no bail recommended for both cases and violation of RA 10591 by RTC, Branch 35, Ozamiz City.
