ANGELES CITY– Some 5,000 solo parents here on April 7 started receiving P1,000 cash assistance each from the city government under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin, Jr.
Lazatin allotted a P5-million budget for the financial assistance of solo parents. This is apart from the cash assistance that will be provided to them under the national government’s P200-billion Social Amelioration Program (SAP) that is currently underway.
The mayor said the city government will provide assistance to all sectors in the society, especially during the extension of the enhanced community quarantine until April 30.
Payout for the said benefits will be until April 15.
“With the extension of the community quarantine, please be assured that the local government will not falter in its dedication and commitment to provide assistance to everyone in the city,” Lazatin said.
