FORT MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija — The Army 84th Infantry Battalion and the Aliaga Municipal Police Station joined the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office in the conduct of a Joint Law Enforcement Operation on Anti-Illegal Logging at Purok 3, Barangay Bukot in Aliaga.

The operation was in line with the serving of Search Warrant No. 02-2020 issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 24 Executive Judge Ana Marrie Joson-Viterbo.

“It resulted to the confiscation of the illegally cut natural forest products within the compound with estimated value of about PhP650,000. They were turned over to the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office in Palayan City for proper disposition,” 7th Infantry Division Commander Major General Lenard T. Agustin said.

“Our natural resources are among the few priceless heritages that we can hand over to the next generation of Filipinos. Hence, law enforcement against illegal logging and other activities that destroy the environment need to be strictly enforced,” Agustin added.
