ANGELES CITY – Multi-awarded film and stage actor Joel Torre is fast gaining popularity here; not in another movie set or on stage but this time, as a culinary master and restaurateur.
That’s right, Joel Torre even has his initials JT affixed at Joel Torre’s Manukan Grille which opened its 25th branch here over-the-weekend.
Located at “The Yard” complex along Magalang Road corner Pandan, the famous Negrense restaurant’s main dish is of course, Bacolod Inasal with the tagline of 4Ms, “Masarap, Mura, Malinis, Masaya.”
This is the first franchise of JT’s Manukan Grille, according to the couple Jaycee Parker and Jericho Aguas, who co-owns the branch. Their business partners – Armin Kid Tinio, Noel ‘Tek’ Villanueva, Kashina Villanueva, Remyreen ‘RR’ Enriquez and Mel Enriquez were also present during the opening.
Joel Torre graced the event and took part in the ribbon cutting ceremony.
Meanwhile, alongside the 25th branch opening of JT’s Manukan Grille is also the grand opening of the Rejuva Aesthetics & Laser Center here owned by the all-women entrepreneurs JC, RR, Kashina and Bianca Tinio.
Rejuva has three existing branches in Metro Manila where it was originally established.
Not to be outdone were the men who also pioneered the new local brand barbershop, Tres Pepes Barberos, owned by Romeo Herrera Jr., Jericho Aguas and Noel Villanueva.
Joining the events were celebrities Ara Mina, Zara Lopez and JJ Helterbrand. Also present was City Councilor and vice mayorable Edu Pamintuan.
According to Parker, they are aiming to have more branches all over the country; not only with JT’s Manukan Grille but with all three businesses at The Yard complex.
JT’s Manukan Grille is open from Mondays to Sundays, from 11 am to 10 pm.
