ANA, Pampanga – Less garbage than invasive water hyacinths clog a check gate at the Matubig Creek in Barangay San Agustin here constricting the free flow of water and endangering anew the creek banks that were washed out by floodings last year. On site-inspection, Mayor Dinan Labung has requested the Capitol for the immediate deployment of a long-arm excavator to facilitate the clearing of the creek of the water hyacinths currently being undertaken manually by LGU personnel.
