The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Regional Office III reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) through active participation in the Regional Reintegration Network Fair held on April 21, 2026 at SM City Pampanga.

The event, organized by the Department of Migrant Workers, brought together various government agencies to provide a comprehensive range of services aimed at assisting OFWs and repatriates as they reintegrate into the country. It served as a one stop platform connecting beneficiaries to livelihood opportunities, employment assistance, and business support programs.

DTI-3, alongside partner agencies, delivered its frontline services through an information booth that offered business advisory or cliniquing sessions, business name registration, and access to financing programs through its financing arm Small Business Corporation (SB Corp).

Through SB Corp, eligible OFWs and aspiring entrepreneurs were introduced to loan facilities designed to help them start or expand their businesses, providing much needed capital to support sustainable income generation. Recently, DTI launched a ₱4 billion MSME Business Fund to support the growth and expansion of enterprises. The program offers zero collateral loans of up to ₱5 million, a one-year grace period, and an affordable interest rate of 1 percent per month on a diminishing balance, making financing more accessible to Filipino entrepreneurs.

Regional Director Edna Dizon joined the opening ceremonies and emphasized the importance of enabling OFWs to transition into entrepreneurship.

“As our OFWs return home, we want them to see that there are real opportunities waiting for them here. Through access to financing, mentoring, and market support, we aim to help them build sustainable businesses that can secure their future and contribute to local economic growth,” Dizon said.

DTI Region III continues to strengthen its support for MSMEs and returning OFWs by ensuring that programs on financing, mentoring, and market access are readily accessible at the grassroots level.

For inquiries on available loan programs, interested applicants may visit the nearest Negosyo Center or DTI provincial office.

Through sustained collaboration with partner agencies, DTI remains committed to empowering OFWs toward successful reintegration and long-term economic resilience.
