ANGELES CITY – Faith, culture, and tradition melded with the celebration of the feast of the city’s titular patrons, Santos Angeles Custodios (Holy Guardian Angels), on Oct. 12 ushering in Fiestang Kuliat 2025.

The concelebrated Mass at the Pisamban Maragul (Holy Rosary Parish Church), followed by a procession, marked the official start of a month-long celebration that draws visitors from across the region and strengthens local traditions.

The Feast of the Holy Guardian Angels is a cornerstone of Fiestang Kuliat, a festival that has evolved into an expression of gratitude, resilience, and unity for the Angelenos. The guardian angels honored as protector and guide for individuals, families, and the community at large. Parish leaders described the feast as a reminder to seek divine guidance in daily life.

Following the Feast of the Holy Guardian Angeles is Pyestang Balen or feast of the city’s patroness Our Lady of the Holy Rosary on the second Sunday of October, and on the last Friday of October, Piyestang Apu or Feast of Our Lord of Great Mercy. The three feasts comprise Fiestang Kuliat.

Fiestang Kuliat has long been a symbol of Angeles City’s enduring identity as a city that blends devotion with celebration. The festival features a series of religious, cultural, and recreational activities, including processions, parades, culinary events, and nightly entertainments. This year’s kick-off at Holy Rosary Parish placed the community at the heart of the celebration, with hundreds of attendees— daycare pupils, students, locals, balikbayans, and visitors—participating in or observing the launch.

“Fiestang Kuliat brings vitality not only to our tourism but also to our local economy, supports small businesses, and showcases our rich heritage,” said Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II. “More importantly, it reinforces the bonds that make Angeles City a warm and welcoming home for families.”

Fiestang Kuliat preserves centuries-old Filipino Catholic traditions while incorporating contemporary expressions of art, music, and cuisine.

The Angeles City Tourism Office has announced the FK2025’s Calendar of Events through the city information office. ACTO calls on Angeleños and visitors to join in the celebration with a spirit of faith, generosity, and shared joy.

This traditionally rich, month-long festival offers a chance to celebrate its culture, and welcome newcomers to a city that thrives on togetherness. Angeles CIO
