MABALACAT CITY – Citing the noble duty, as much as the heavy responsibility, of the city public school teachers in molding the minds of the youth for a bright future, Mayor Atty. Geld Aquino has strongly endorsed the increase of the mentors’ cash incentive from P1,500 to P2,500 during the local school board meeting here on Aug. 27.
Aside from the cash incentive, the meeting also focused on identifying and addressing the needs of the teachers, notably the allocation of appropriate facilities, modern teaching equipment, and other amenities to make the schools more conducive to teaching for the mentors, as well as to learning for the students.
Also discussed were the preparations for the coming celebration of World Teachers’ Day in October.
