NGCP announces schedule of power interruption in Bataan

HERMOSA, Bataan: The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines announced power interruption in some areas of Bataan on Saturday , July 26 and on Monday, July 28.
NGCP said affected are Penelco areas in Barangay Townsite in Limay, Calungusan in Orion, Pilar, Bagac and Sabang in Morong.

Power interruption was scheduled at 8:00AM to 9:30AM on July 26 and 5:00PM to 5:30PM on July 28.

NGCP cited the reason for the interruption as to facilitate load transfer for comprehensive maintenance and testing of 69kV power circuit breaker and correction of hotspots at Limay Substation.

Specific areas are determined by the electric cooperatives while NGCP, it said, will exert all efforts to restore power earlier or as scheduled.

Meanwhile, NGCP announced that typhoon Crising has no impact on their transmission lines as they continue monitoring of the Habagat effect.

NGCP reported that as of 10:00AM of July 21, grid operations in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao remain normal and stable.

“All NGCP transmission facilities are currently under normal conditions. We remain ready to activate the 24/7 operations of our OCmC should any threats to transmission operations arise due to the monsoon rains and other weather disturbances,” NGCP.said. (30)
