ANGELES CITY – In celebration of the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Month, the
Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) in partnership with the city government held the Grand EODB Fair on May 19.

Leading the event that aimed to bring essential frontline services closer to the people were Secretary Atty. Ernesto Perez and Mayor Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr.

Aside from ARTA, 10 other national government agencies participated in the fair: Bureau of Fire Protection, Bureau of Internal Revenue, Department of Information and Communications Technology, Department of Trade and Industry, Government Service Insurance System, Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG Fund), Land Transportation Office, Philippine Health Insurance Corp., Philippine Statistics Authority, and the Social Security System.

Each agency offered a variety of services such as ID enrollment, registration, membership verification, issuance of certificates, and access to digital platforms—geared toward making public service delivery more streamlined and efficient.

The fair serves as the government’s continuing commitment under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s Bagong Pilipinas campaign to improve bureaucracy and uphold red tape-free, people-centered governance.

To recall, the administration of Mayor Lazatin has also sustained Angeles City’s legacy of quality service, earning the ISO 9001:2015 certification for excellence in quality management, which reaffirms the city’s commitment to efficient, transparent, and world-class public service—rooted in a tradition that began in 2002 under former Mayor Carmelo ‘Tarzan’ Lazatin.
