DINALUPIHAN, Bataan: The Department of Trade and Industry provincial office opened Thursday its six – day Special Diskwento Caravan at the plaza in Dinalupihan, Bataan that will last until Monday , June 24, the town’s celebration of water festival.
OIC DTI provincial director Eileen Ocampo said that Mayor German “Tong” Santos asked the holding of the Diskwento Caravan as one of the side events for the Dinalupihan feast for the villagers to be able to buy products at discounted price.
Goods during the Diskwento Caravan are sold at discount of until 10 percent.
On sale are bags, shoes, sandals, doormats, potholders, bedsheets, blankets, pillow cover; accessories like bracelets and necklaces; perfume, cap, kitchen items like plates, jar, glasses and some others.
Also offered are coffee, calamansi juice, tamarind, macapuno, lecheflan, espasol, kangkong chips, burong kanin, among some others.
In the evening, food stalls offering different street foods and other delicacies are open. (30)
