MABALACAT CITY — Joint operatives of PDEA Central Luzon, Bureau of Customs-Port of Clark, and Mabalacat Police Station arrested a consignee of 5,888 grams of imported marijuana resin (marijuana sticky substance) worth P392,533.33 on June 19 in Barangay San Joaquin here.
Police identified the arrested suspect as Daryl Dela Cruz, 28, of Diamond Street, Poblacion, Mabalacat City.
According to PDEA, the parcel containing the illegal substances arrived at the Port of Clark only last June 16.
Report added that the confiscated marijuana resins emanated from California, USA, which were declared as candles placed inside 12 plastic canisters.
The suspect now faces charges for violation of Section 4 (importation of dangerous drugs) of RA 9165. (JOHNNY R.REBLANDO)
