The Philippine Sports Tourism Awards (PSTA) celebrated the dynamic synergy of sports, travel, and hospitality at its 7th annual awards ceremony, held on August 24, 2026, at the Grand Ballroom of Marriott Manila.
The event was presented by the Sports Turismo Alliance, Inc., founded and chaired by Mr. Charles Lim, in partnership with the Philippine Sports Commission, chaired by Mr. Patrick “Pato” Gregorio.



The awards were presented by Mr. Gregorio and Mr. Lim, assisted by Under Secretary, Shahlimar Tamano of the Department of Tourism, representing Secretary Dita Angarra-Mathay and Mr. Benito Bengzon, Jr., Vice President of Sports Turismo Alliance Inc., honoring the venues, destinations, organizers, sports associations and other institutions that have driven Philippine tourism forward through premier sporting events in the country. This year’s ceremony recognized 18 outstanding awardees across a diverse set of categories:
- Emerging Sports Association of the Year – World Archery Philippines, Inc.
- MICE Event of the Year – Sports Tourism Forum – SMX Clark
- Domestic Event of the Year – Tour of Luzon
- Local Sports TV Channel of the Year – Island Living Channel
- Tour Operator of the Year – Grand Country Tours & Travel
- Media Outfit of the Year – Duck World Philippines
- International Event of the Year – FIFA Women’s Futsal World Cup Manila
- Charity Event of the Year – Marriott Charity Golf
- Destination Marketing of the Year – City of Lapu-Lapu
- Hotel of the Year – NUSTAR Resort Cebu
- Emerging Destination of the Year – City of Puerto Princesa
- Venue of the Year – New Clark City
- Airline of the Year – Philippine Airlines
- Event Organizer of the Year (Private) – Sunrise Events, Inc.
- Event Organizer of the Year (Public) – City of Puerto Princesa
- Sports Association of the Year – Philippine Football Federation
- Destination of the Year – Subic Bay Freeport
- Personality of the Year – Cynthia Lagdameo Carrion
Gracing the occasion too were Atty. Devanadera, President and CEO of Clark Development Corporation, the first PSTA Hall Of Fame awardee, Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority Chairman and Administrator, Eduardo Aliño, Mayor Lucilio Bayron of Puerto Princesa City, Congressman Junard Chan of Lapu Lapu, Cebu, Mr. Roberto Zozobrado, General Manager and COO of the Philippine Retirement Authority and scores of presidents and officials representing various national sports associations in the Philippines.


The annual PSTA was fully supported by the Philippine Sports Commission, Manila Marriott Hotel, Selrahco, NUSTAR Resort Cebu, Department of Tourism and Universal Robina Corporation.
