LUBAO, Pampanga – At least 600 dialysis patients from the 2nd District received on
Tuesday financial and food assistance from the provincial government.

Lilia “Nanay” Pineda who
personally led the distribution of assistance and looked into a number of the case
files of the patients.

Each patient received P2,000 and food packs consisting of rice and canned goods.
Free medical consultation and medicine were also provided in the activity held at
the Lubao Municipal Gym.

The vice governor noted that Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda has made it “a mission”
to bring Capitol programs closer to the Kapampangan, especially the indigents
and the ailing.

She said the Capitol would ask President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to continue the
support being given to dialysis patients by the government.

no’ng libre na ‘yung dialysis session,” she shared.

Nanay made the assurance though that once patients consumed all their free
dialysis sessions with PhilHealth, the provincial government will try its best to
support their expenses that run to around P12,000 weekly for dialysis sessions.
