CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – A total of 13,680 illegal drug users and pushers in Central Luzon have so far surrender to authorities under the intensified anti-illegal drug campaign “Double Barrel,” the regional police reported yesterday.

This is on top of 445 persons who were arrested and 49 killed in anti-drug operations since Pres. Duterte assumed post, acting regional police director Chief Supt. Aaron Aquino said.

“They have submitted themselves voluntarily to police authorities and local chief executives and vowed to stop using and selling illegal drugs,” he said.

The anti-illegal drug operations led to the seizure of 369 sachets of shabu weighing 193.89 grams and marijuana weighing 27.17 grams, 13 high powered firearms, 46 low powered firearms, one hand grenade, 340 ammunition, and three magazines, he noted.

“We will keep on conducting operations against personalities and syndicates as we are serious in eradicating illegal drugs in the region,” Aquino stressed.
