AETA RELIEF OPS. Recipients of the relief packs thanked the provincial government for the assistance extended to them.

PORAC, Pampanga- “From the bottom of our hearts, thank you very much Governor Delta and Vice Gov Nanay.”

So, said Noel Saplala on behalf of 3,379 Aetas who received food packs in Floridablanca and Porac towns on Tuesday, July 14.

“Since the time of then Governor Nanay, up to this term of Governor Delta, the provincial government under the leadership of the Pineda’s, we were not left out. Our welfare remain as their priority especially when we were hit by the 6.1 magnitude earthquake in 2019. They are consistently doing it up to this time that the country is facing a pandemic. They are really the best,” Saplala added.

According to Elizabeth Baybayan, head of Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), Governor Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda and Vice Governor Lilia ‘Nanay’ Pineda want to make sure that the indigenous people (IP) in the upland areas of the province are not forsaken during this time of crisis due to the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

“Hindi kinalimutan ni Governor Delta and Vice Gov ang mga mga kapatid nating Aeta lalo na ngayong may pandemic. Nagpabigay sila ng ayuda, alam naman natin sa panahon ngayon mahirap ang buhay,” she said.

Each Aeta family received 4 kilos of rice, 4 noodles and sardines, one tuna, and corned beef.

Beneficiaries include 961 Aeta households in Barangay Nabuclod and 286 in Barangay Mawacat in Floridablanca town.
