OLONGAPO CITY – No place to hide.
After five years of hiding from the police, three “Most Wanted Criminals” in Subic, Zambales were arrested by joint elements of the Zambales Criminal Investigation and Detection Team (ZCIDT) and Zambales PNP in separate operations of “Oplan Pagtugis” (campaigned against wanted persons) in Subic and Catillejos towns, Wednesday.
Chief Inspector Rogelio Peñones, Jr., ZCIDT provincial officer, identified the suspects as Julito Reyes, 32; Rosito Calledo, 32,both residents of Barangay Calapacuan, Subic and Gerald Dongue, 38 of Barangay Del Pilar, Castillejos.
Peñones said that at about 10:45 a.m., Reyes was arrested in Subic town and at about 12:00 noon Calledo and Donque were arrested in Castillejos by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Consuelo Amog-Bocar of RTC, Branch 73 of Olongapo City for the crime of frustrated murder with P200,000 bail and two counts of murder without bail.
Report said that on October 5, 2004 at about 6 p.m., the suspects “conspired with one another in the killing of Jean Romamban and Marlon Diaz with the use of firearms and the wounding of Orlando Timbol,” all of Barangay Calapacuan.
Earlier, Rico Bermudez, the suspects’ cohort was locked up at the Bureau of Jail and Penology (BJMP) for another case.
Three more suspects are being hunted by police authorities. The arrested suspects were all brought to the ZCIDT office for documentation and will be transferred to BJMP.
