CABANATUAN CITY – Two unemployed women yielded nearly P500,000 worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu in a buy-bust operation in Purok 4, Barangay Vijandre here at about 4:20 a.m. on May 2.
Nueva Ecija police director Col. Ferdinand D. Germino identified the suspects as “Charmaine,” 25, of Barangay DS Garcia; and “Elizabeth,” 42, of Barangay Vijandre, both of this city.
Germino said that anti-drugs operatives of Cabanatuan City Police Station (CCPS), seized 71.40 grams of shabu with P485,520 from the suspects.
CCPS chief Lt. Col. Renato Morales said the operation was intelligence-driven.
“The suspects and pieces of evidence, after being marked and inventoried in the presence of the witnesses, were brought to Cabanatuan City PS for proper disposition,” said Morales.
“These successful operations are true testaments that NEPPO police are doing everything possible to curb illegal drugs and prevent them from ruining lives. Imagine the impact of these illegal drugs on our youth if these were not recovered,” said Germino.
