MABALACAT CITY – More learning spaces opened at Pila Elementary School in Barangay Duquit here with Yokohama Tire Philippines, Inc. (YTPI) breaking ground for its classroom donation project on Oct. 20.

As part of its 30th anniversary celebration themed “Contributing to the Progress of the Philippines and Beyond,” YTPI will provide the school with a two-storey building with two new classrooms, in its continuing advocacy towards education and community development.

YTPI vice president for administration division Angelina C. Casasola shared her hope that the new facility would provide generations of students with a more comfortable and conducive learning environment.

For his part, YTPI vice president for plant operations division Juanito C. Arona highlighted the importance of leaving a lasting legacy through education and encouraged the school community to continue building on the project’s impact.

Geraldine B. Bautista, YTPI department manager for corporate planning and business operations, also underscored the value of community cooperation in creating a better school environment for present and future learners.

In her response, PES principal Michelle D. Dizon expressed the school’s gratitude to YTPI, emphasizing that more than the additional classrooms, the project offers greater opportunities and a brighter future for young Mabalaqueño learners.

Construction is expected to be completed within five to six months.

Also present during the groundbreaking rites were representatives from De Department of Education-Schools Division of Mabalacat City, MyeGie Construction, and Barangay Duquit officials.
