CLARK FREEPORT – More than 1,000 runners, including two from Kenya, joined SM City Clark’s Neon Run last Saturday which ended at the mall’s promenade area called “The Meeting Place.”
The race was dominated by Richard Salaño who finished first, followed by Mark Anthony Oximar in second place and Michael Bacong in third. Mary Grace Delo Santos crossed the finish line first in the ladies’ division with Luisa Raterata coming in second while Irine Kipchumba finished third.
The youngest fi nisher was six-year old Albert M. Dizon while the oldest was 53-year old Henry Padios. The Neon Run is a fi ve-kilometer fun run which focuses less on speed but on the glow zones where participants run through.
The post-race event included a glow party where popular disk jockey and model DJ Callum entertained the crowd with his latest beats. According to SM City Clark assistant mall manager Aaron Jeffrey Montenegro, the participants chipped in P100, P150, and P250 for the fun run to be donated to Yolanda victims.
