CLARK FREEPORT – High quality, affordable steaks will soon be offered as lunch fare at the Salt Restaurant of Widus Hotel and Casino here.
“We’d like to have something affordable but quality food for families,“ said Eddie Park, newly installed Widus F&B director.
Introducing “Widus Special Steak” that is grilled to perfection, said Park.
“It is affordable because it will be priced below P1,000 but still tastes really good.”
Park hastened though that the steak will be different from the premium steaks of Peppers 21 Restaurant located on the top level of the hotel.
He explained that Peppers 21 Steak is only open at dinner time “so this steak will be available even during lunch at Salt.”
“Quality wise, it’s the same, but Peppers 21 has a different concept. The meat is prepared with a special curing period and it has a distinctive smell and distinctive flavor,” Park explained.
Widus Special Steak is the usual, regular tenderloin steak but better quality with more flavor, he said.
Park was installed as Widus F&B director last July. He was the former senior vice president of Solaire Korea and opened the Korean restaurant there.
Park was also assigned in Thailand under the Central Group before coming in the Philippines.
