MANILA, Philippines — Travel and Lifestyle Storyteller Frecelynne Roman brought a magic show, games and gifts to 15 children at Tahanan ng Pagmamahal Children’s Home in Pasig City on August 16, turning her platform toward a cause outside travel content for the first time.
Roman organized the visit with her family and a small group of close friends. She hired a clown to run a magic show and games for the children, and distributed loot bags and snacks throughout the afternoon.

At the close of the visit, the children performed a song and dance number they had prepared for their guests.
“A platform is a strange thing to hold,” Roman said. “You can point it at yourself forever, or you can turn it around and point it at people who could use the light. I wanted to turn it around, and I wanted to start with children.”

Tahanan ng Pagmamahal Children’s Home provides shelter, care and basic needs to abandoned, neglected and surrendered children in a Christ centered community setting.
Roman has published an account of the visit on her blog, including the full list of the home’s current needs, at frecelynne.com.
