BALANGA CITY – Various agencies and offices involved in rescue operations in
cases of disasters and calamities on Monday started their display of different
tools and equipment to show the readiness of Bataan to act and respond.
Mark Rafael Ramos, assistant at the provincial disaster risk reduction and
management office, said the statistic display of the tools and equipment was part
of the celebration of the 2022 National Disaster Risk Resilience Month.

The celebration, themed “Sambayanang Pilipino nagkakaisa tungo sa katatagan at
maunlad na kinabukasan,” is held at The Bunker, seat of the provincial
government.

Among the display were spreader cutters used by the Bureau of Fire Protection.
Pinuputol nito mga bakal,” FO1 JR Cabañero of
BFP–Bataan said while holding the tool.

Ramos said different departments and response agencies under PDRRMO
showcased their resources with regards to disaster response procedure.
Among the agencies are the Department of Interior and Local Government,
Department of Science and Technology, and Department of Social Welfare and
Development Office while the response agencies are the Metro Bataan
Development Authority, REACT Philippines Inc., Red Cross, and the Philippine
National Police.

tawag ng kalikasan o disaster,” Ramos said.

pa,” he said.

Ramos said DOST, DILG and other agencies also show the different ways in
disaster prevention and mitigation as well as disaster preparedness in the
province.
