The horror of teaching wrongly

Heaven was on the topic with my nieces when one of them, rather forlornly, butted with a quote allegedly from her teacher: “But in Heaven, we are no longer aware of our earthly relationships.” That information would certainly be a big let down for Heaven. Imagine going to Heaven with the entire family, but everyone is estranged from each other. Yuck.

“Of course not,” I vehemently countered, imagining the teacher squirming under my powerful pinch on his/her earlobe. I told my niece that our knowledge of our earthly parents is carried on in the afterlife and that affection for loved ones on earth is even heightened there.

This fact is demonstrable: even after her life on earth, Mary remains to be the mother of Jesus, nay, God Himself. In her apparitions, Mary refers to Jesus as her Son; in His apparitions, Jesus refers to Mary as His mother.

Such assurance lifted my niece’s face with joy. It was providential that she brought up the matter, or she would have spent years ahead, if not her entire life feeling down about Heaven. That’s an issue affecting her eternity.

I remember when I was in second year high school when my teacher, who handled religion subject, said that those who go to Purgatory with many venial sins eventually land in Hell because the venial sins eventually coagulate to form a mortal sin. Dinuguan?

I knew on the spot she was blabbering untruth, but did not launch opposition in deference to her being ensconced on the classroom platform.

My point to parents, especially teachers, even catechists: be careful with what you tell kids. The impact could be comforting, blissful, strengthening. It would also be horrible. Eternal.

It is also with some degree of caution that I write about mystical things.  I beg for forgiveness for past lapses when I picked up from one who turned out being eschewed, and with good reason, by Catholic Church authorities, and so now, I consider only mystics backed by their bishops.

One credible mystic is Pedro Regis about whom I have already written in this space. Thus, to go on with my series on prophetic messages from Heaven, I again pick up from Pedro who relayed the following as being the message of the Blessed Virgin Mary last May 18.

The message is significant, since it hints on when the so-called Warning, which was clearly prophesied in the Garabandal apparitions, would happen. Here is the message:

“Dear children, open your hearts to the Holy Spirit’s action and you will be great in faith. Let the sanctifying grace of God transform you. Do not live in sin. You are of the Lord and things of the world are not for you.

Bend your knees in prayer. Humanity has moved away from God and My poor children go as spiritually blind.

Repent. My Lord is waiting for you with open arms. Be docile. I came from heaven to help you, but I cannot force you to anything. Walk towards the Lord with true freedom of the children of God.

“When all seems lost, God will act and the earth will be changed. God will allow men have the grace of repentance. By a special grace of the Lord, men will see all their sins and will have the opportunity to decide for God. The freedom of each one will lead to the final destination. I ask you to do the will of the Lord forever.

Hearken. Courage. I will speak to My Jesus for you. This is the message I give you today in the name of the Holy Trinity. Thank you for permitting Me to reunite you here once more. I bless you in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Be in peace.”
