ANGELES CITY – At least two incumbent city councilors and five others have been considered in the line-up of First District Rep. Carmelo “Tarzan” Lazatin who earlier announced his plans to run for mayor here in 2013.

Lazatin disclosed to Punto Central Luzon that their prospects include Councilors Alfie Bonifacio and Bryan Nepomuceno.

He added that the other potential members of his councilor’s slate are veteran broadcast journalist and Sun-Star Pampanga columnist Max Sangil, lawyer and television program host Imelda “IQ” Quiambao, businessman Mon Dizon, Lawyer Angelo “Pinggoy” Lopez and Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, son of the two-term solon.

Lazatin said Atty. Nino Baltazar Yu Enriquez is the “only the sure member of my line-up for now.” He added that the final list will be out on or before September 15.

The congressman and former three-term mayor said he had decided to add more from his supposedly three-councilor line-up “as more very much qualified and sincere people are willing to join ‘Team Lazatin.’”

“I don’t want to get aspirants who may go to us after being rejected by other political parties in Angeles City,” said Lazatin.

“My team will be focused on projects and programs beneficial to the people and not for sake of their own pockets,” he added.

Lazatin said his decision not to get a vice mayor as running-mate “stays.”
