TARLAC CITY (PIA) — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a new two-story, six-classroom educational facility at Malupa Elementary School in Concepcion, Tarlac, benefiting both students and faculty.
DPWH Tarlac 2nd District Engineer Edward Ricardo Ramos said the 638.37-square meter building includes comfort rooms with toilets for persons with disabilities, a fire protection system, a water tank, and a wheelchair ramp to ensure accessibility, safety, and convenience for all users.

“This structure supports our goal of creating safe, well-equipped learning spaces for a growing student body. We aim to boost teaching quality, address space shortages, and strengthen the community,” Ramos emphasized.
Malupa Elementary School teacher Sunshine Mari highlighted the impact of the new facility, noting that its spacious and less congested environment fosters better classroom activities and enhances the overall learning experience for students.
The P16.27-million project was funded through the Department of Education’s Basic Educational Facilities Fund under the 2024 national budget. (CLJD/RPQ, PIA Region 3-Tarlac)
