Tarlac participates in the Sokor Food Expo

TARLAC province participated in the International Fermented Food Expo (IFFE) 2023 held in Jeonju, Jeonbuk-do, South Korea last October 25 to 29.

Spearheading the Tarlac delegation were Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Officer Marvi dela Cruz and Office of the Tarlac Provincial Agriculturist Alice Cruz which featured the products of Potter’s Hand PF, Gene Aquino Nicolas Hearty Mix and Joan Quiroda-Bautista Herbin Health Products. Also featured in the expo were the local okra produced by Tarlac city, Victoria and La Paz vegetable farmers.

The aim of the expo is to promote and introduce fermented products and Tarlac okra to the South Korean market.

Now on its 20th year, IFFE 2023 is the leading fermented food exhibition in South Korea. Jeonju International Fermented Food Expo is a place of business where fermented foods from all over the world are displayed and exchanged. It is an industry expo that promotes the future value of fermentation, expands the global network and promotes the growth of fermented food industry. 

Special promotion is also being done for Hass Avocado with the recently approved market access to Korea together with Philippine Okra.

Ambassador Tess Dizon de Vega of the Philippine Embassy to Seoul, South Korea visited the Philippine booth.

This expo was sponsored by the Philippine Embassy in Seoul and participated by different exporters and producers of fermented food from the Philippines. Tarlac Province was fortunate to be a part of this event and was able to promote locally produced condiments and other fermented foods.
