CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Swift and coordinated police action led to the arrest of a 42-year-old barangay captain from Lubao, Pampanga less than 12 hours after he reportedly figured in a road altercation and shot a truck driver along JASA Road, Barangay San Antonio, Guagua.
The incident occurred at about 1:20 a.m. on July 17, with the 28-year-old victim sustaining a gunshot wound to his right leg and was immediately taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
Through CCTV backtracking, vehicle tracing, and close coordination with the Lubao Municipal Police Station and police stations in nearby towns, authorities identified and located the suspect. His licensed firearm allegedly used in the shooting was also seized from his possession and will be subjected to forensic examination.
Appropriate criminal charges are being prepared against him.
