The Social Security System (SSS) conducted a back-to-back Run After Contribution Evaders (RACE) campaign in Malolos and Baliuag last April 29 and May 2, respectively to enforce employer compliance and intensify contribution collection.

The RACE Team served written notice to one employer for non-registration of business to SSS and 11 employers for failure to remit Social Security and Employees’ Compensation contributions of their employees.

Following the directives of our new President and CEO Michael G. Regino, SSS resumed the implementation of RACE to remind our employers of their obligations under Republic Act 11199 or the Social Security Act of 2018. Aside from that, we are also promoting the Pandemic Relief and Restructuring Programs (PRRP) so that they can settle their contribution delinquency through amicable and flexible payment terms,” SSS Senior Vice President for Luzon Operations Group Antonio S. Argabioso said.

The PRRP 2 or Condonation of Penalties on Social Security Contributions Program is offered to employers with delinquencies for the applicable month of March 2020 and onwards. This program will run until May 19, 2022.

Employers who have no means to immediately settle their past-due SS and Employees’ Compensation contributions may avail of the PRRP 3 or the Enhanced Installment Payment Program, which offers installment payment terms ranging from nine to 60 months, depending on the total amount of delinquency. Employers can submit their application on or before November 22, 2022.

We are expecting to collect P9.2 million in contribution delinquencies including penalties after these back-to-back operations. This will benefit the resumption of the workers eligibility to social security benefits and privileges. We urge all delinquent employers to comply and settle their obligation as soon as possible through PRRPs,” Argabioso concluded.

SSS eyes to expand its RACE operation in the region with the assistance from the local government units in identifying erring employers.
