As part of Employee Volunteerism Program, employees of SM Tarlac happily played with the children of St. Joseph Home.

Still merry in January, SM City Tarlac continues to celebrate the season of gift-giving by distributing a total of collected 500 SM Bears of Joy (BOJ) to its chosen beneficiary St. Joseph Home for Special Children, Inc.

“We sincerely appreciate and gratefully acknowledge your concreate love and compassion by sharing your God’s blessing to the children entrusted to our care”, said Apostolate Directress Sr. Leoncia V. Mateo, O.P.

Apostolate Directress Sr. Leoncia V. Mateo, O.P. receives monetary donation in behalf of St. Joseph Home for Special Children, Inc. from the 100 days of happiness project of SM Supermalls.

Sr. Leoncia V. Mateo stated that the bears will be shared to their partner organizations. “Toys and bears are great therapy for our children, most especially for the ones who could not speak or see”, she added.

Aside from bears, cash donation is also shared to the chosen beneficiary as part of the 100 days of happiness project of SM Supermalls.

AMM Engr. Lou Samson headed the distribution of SM Bears of Joy FamBears Edition (Daddy Bear, Mommy Bear, Brother Bear, and Sister Bear) to the chosen BOJ beneficiary.

“Last year, we started a holiday countdown campaign by featuring local products in the mall in partnership with DTI-Tarlac. A portion of monetary donation goes to chosen beneficiary”, explained Asst. Mall Manager (AMM) Engr. Lou Samson.

SM Bears of Joy project started in 2012, while this is the second time SM Supermalls has started a holiday countdown campaign.
