SM Foundation Inc., through its College Scholarship Program, help the youth reach their full potential and achieve their dreams for over two decades. The foundation accepts online applications for school year 2020-2021 from October 15 to December 31, 2019.
All qualified graduating Senior high school students are invited to take advantage of the opportunity. Qualifications for the SM College Scholarship Program are the following: students must be grade 12 public high school graduate or grade 12 graduate from private schools with DepEd vouchers who completed junior high school from a public school. Their general weighted average grade must be at least 88% or its equivalent for Grade 12 – 1st semester. The total household income is P150,000 or less per year supported by a BIR Income Tax Return.
Interested applicants will have to log in to the SM Foundation website www.sm-foundation.org and accomplish the online application form. The following are the attachments to the online application: parent’s or guardian’s 2018 Income Tax Return/Certification of Non-Filing of Income/Certificate of Indigency; latest grade 12 report card; birth certificate, 2×2 ID picture and sketch of home to the nearest SM mall.
Strictly online applications will be accepted; no walk-ins will be allowed. The students will receive email regarding schedule of exam.
Courses offered are BS in Computer Science, BS in Information Technology, BS in Electronics and Communications Engineering / BS in Electronics Engineering, BS in Computer Engineering, BS in Civil Engineering, BS in Electrical Engineering, BS in Mechanical Engineering, BS in Accountancy, BS in Accounting Technology, BS in Accounting Information Systems, BS in Internal Auditing, BS in Financial Management, and BS in Management Accounting, BS in Elementary Education, and BS in Secondary Education major in Biology, Chemistry, General Sciences, Physics, Mathematics and English.
Accredited school in Tarlac is the Tarlac State University. The college scholars will receive full tuition fee assistance, monthly allowance and part-time job opportunities during Christmas and semestral breaks. Even if there are no strings attached when they graduate, the scholars still receive job offers from the SM Group of Companies and affiliates.
