TALAVERA, Nueva Ecija –– The youth sector in this first–class Nueva Ecija municipality rendered its share in the government’s fight against the coronavirus pandemic by putting up a wash bin project.
The sangguniang kabataan federation led by its president Ericka Mendoza turned over the locally manufactured wash bins to the local government on Wednesday, coinciding with the observance of Linggo ng Kabataan 2020.
Mayor Nerivi Santos-Martinez said the wash bins will be distributed to all the town’s 53 barangays.
Mendoza said all SK chapters and chairpersons contributed to the project which cost P212,000.
“Layon nito ang sama samang pagtutulungan para labanan ang Covid–19,” the municipal government said in a social post, adding that the project was also supported by the Association of Barangay Councils president Nerito Santos Jr.
