CLARK FREEPORT – For its “distinguished innovation in circular economy implementation,” the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority Ecology Center has been cited as among the LGUs and stakeholders with the “Best Ecological Solid Waste Management Practices” at the Environmental Summit 2026, held last Aug. 19 at the Royce Hotel and Casino here.
The recognition serves as an affirmation of SBMA’s unwavering commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable development as it highlights the agency’s dedication to advancing circular economy initiatives that promote a cleaner and greener future.

“We are deeply honored to receive this recognition from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and the Environmental Management Bureau Region 3,” said Amethya dela Llana, SBMA senior deputy administrator for the regulatory group. “This achievement inspires us to continue pushing forward with sustainable waste management solutions that benefit the community and the environment alike.” Punto News Team/SBMA Media
