KAPUSO STAR Sanya Lopez is the next calendar girl of Ginebra San Miguel after Kapamilya star Pia Wurtzbach.
She couldn’t believe it, “Iba kasi kapag si Pia Wurtzbach iyong nauna, di ba? Taas expectation.”
The GMA-7 actress could not believe she is the next face of the liquor brand after Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach. Recalling her initial reaction to the news, Sanya says,
“Totoo ba? Kasi Pia Wurtzbach iyong sinundan ko… Hindi ako makapaniwala talaga.
“Iba kasi kapag si Pia Wurtzbach iyong nauna, di ba? Taas expectation… Of course, Miss Universe iyon?”
But, why not?
With her calendar girl body, she is a perfect choice.

The sister of GMA-7 actor Jak Roberto says she clocks in more time at the gym, and is focused on her diet.
“Nagwo-workout naman ako, e, ever since. Dahil alam mo naman sa work natin kailangan fit ka, healthy ka, so meron parang extra work out na lang ako.”
For cardio, Sanya sweats it out running, dancing, boxing, playing badminton, and doing muay thai.
She keeps her calories in check with a diet of “fish and chicken lang… iniwasan ko muna iyong pork and then more vegetables.”
Sanya adds, “Drink a lot of water, iyon lang po. And then kailangan mo matulog nang medyo maaga nang konti.”
From demure Kapuso star, Sanya’s image is transformed into fierce Filipina as a calendar girl.
She says, “Napapansin niyo lang po akong covered, ganyanganyan. Pero ngayon po kasi, parang tinotodo ko na! Calendar girl tayo, e.”
But Sanya admits there were moments during the calendar shoot that gave her pause.
“Actually, nung sobrang sexy niya, napa-isip ako, ‘Kaya ko na ba? Puwede na ba ako dito?’
“Kasi bihira lang po talaga ako sumuot nang ganoon sexy, e.
“I think kinaya ko naman. Kinaya. Basta maganda naman iyong shot, hindi bastushin, iyon naman po iyong importante.”
And the important thing is that she exudes a powerful kind of sexy.
Sanya says, “Ang gusto ko kasi makita sa akin iyong babaeng matapang. Hindi siya makikitang sexy.
“Gusto ko makikita siya as babaeng palaban. Walang tinatakutan. Kaya ko na maging one of the boys. Sweet but matapang.”

KORINA SANCHEZ recounts how she and husband Mar Roxas began their love story.
That day, Korina posted their throwback photos showing some of their “best moments.”
In revisiting how their life story began, the veteran ABS-CBN broadcaster includes the time when they kept their relationship a secret Korina captions, “Walang may alam masyado in the beginning. Our secret. Diba, more romantic when no one else knows? Hihihihi, uuuyyyyyy….”
Korina also recalls the time when media was hounding Mar, then a senatorial hopeful, about his love life.
In one post, Korina recounts how they met: through work. Her caption reads, “When I met Mar he was a congressman, and then a cabinet secretary. I was a reporter for TV Patrol and iniinterview ko lang sya noon, uuyyyyyy…nagkakatinginan na kami noon palang.”
Even the way they admitted their relationship was a bit nuanced?
They simply attended “the very first Star Magic Ball” together.
Korina, now a mother of two, then recalls the events that led to their engagement.
Korina and Mar often traveled and explored the outdoors together.
As the Rated K host puts it, she followed Mar everywhere. She writes,
“In 5 years together, susundan ko sya kahit saan. Kahit sa kailaliman ng dagat . I guess that’s when I knew…when we knew. Yeeeheeeeeee…..”
They got engaged in 2009 and got married in October that year.
Reflecting on their ten years as husband and wife, Korina says it is “far from perfect” but she “can’t imagine it any other way.”
Korina, in her 50s, and Mar, in his 60s, are reveling in their status as new parents.
Korina quips about this in her latest Instagram update showing photos of their twins, Pepe and Pilar:
“Hah? 10 years na silah? Eh baket ngayon lang kami?”
Korina and Mar had Pepe and Pilar on February 12, 2019.
Mar has a son, Paolo, with former partner Maricar Zaldarriaga.
