Sandbox Clark opens

SANDBOX – that boxed space filled with sand where kids, adults too, play safely, freely, fairly, happily – makes the very idea behind the eponymous Sandbox Clinic inaugurated on January 16 at Berthaphil III, Clark Freeport Zone.

“The Sandbox Clinic aims to create a safe and nurturing environment for its patients. The clinic’s holistic approach also includes parents’ orientation and empowerment, ensuring that families are well-informed and involved in the rehabilitation process,” articulated Sandbox Clark president Jerell Catacutan.

The multi-specialty clinic and rehabilitation center’s services covers physical therapy, fitness and wellness programs, pre- and post-operative physical recovery, geriatric rehabilitation, pediatric rehabilitation, stroke rehabilitation, occupational therapy, speech-language therapy, pediatric feeding therapy, SPED program, development pediatrics consultation, neuro pedia consultation, and more.

“I’m proud that Sandbox has a unique training delivery model to improve the life of an individual which comprises community partnership, cost efficient treatments, parent and caregiver empowerment [so that] even without Sandbox they can still carry over treatment and help the child at home,” shared Catacutan. “We also have inter-professional collaboration wherein all people involved should be present and available to helping the patient.”

Sandbox here veritably combines a familiar product with an integrated model and collaboration to come up with a winning formula of bridging the gap between teachers and kids with special needs.

Why in Clark?

“We chose Clark because of its strategic location that is close to the airport and offices. Also, this way we can easily position Sandbox to medical tourism and partner with key healthcare programs of the government,” noted Catacutan, that their choice of Clark parallels that of their first branch – at Bonifacio Global City.

Considering the prime location, Sandbox offers affordable services and treatments. Regular office workers and other patients can easily avail themselves of consultations and treatments through partnership with government programs and HMO. Making quality healthcare readily available and affordable.

“We open as early as eight in the morning or maybe we can adjust it earlier because we want to cater to BPO employees who need therapy, for instance an employee suffering from back or neck pain can come here anytime and go through the process,” Catacutan enthused.

The clinic employs in-house doctors, psychologists, occupational therapists and medical staff making sure of proper assessment, treatment and privacy and confidentiality of every patient.

“As you can see the design of the clinic is visually plain, simple yet functional because when the patients come in, we want them to feel comfortable and normal, no intimidation. We want every patient, especially a child with special need, to feel normal in a healthy and friendly environment,” he furthered.
