Ryza Cenon openly talked about her daring scenes in the upcoming 2016 QCinema International Film Fest entry Ang Manananggal sa Unit 23B.
In this dark romance movie, Ryza revealed that she had a masturbation scene and she shot love scenes with two guys.

How daring is she in this movie?
“Sobra! All out na. All out talaga. First time ko siyang gawin. Siyempre, hindi mawawala ang kaba at takot. Kahit naman sa staff , sinasabi ko, mas mahirap sa akin ang sex scene kaysa sa masturbation scene.
“Kasi sa masturbation, under my control. Ako lang yun so pwede ko siya kontrolin ang eksena.
“Pag sa sex scene, hindi ko mako-control si Cholo. Kung ano man ang nararamdaman niya, kailangan ko yung respetuhin kasi tao lang rin siya.
“Naging honest naman ako kay Cholo, na takot ako, kinakabahan ako.’
Did she feel uncomfortable shooting the masturbation scene?
“Hindi na noong nasa set na. Pero nung wala pa, medyo kinakabahan ako. Nire-ready ko yung sarili ko. Gusto ko every time na papasok ako sa set, in character na ako. Ayoko na dun pa lang ako magre-ready kasi makikita nila na takot ka.
“Kasi pati sila maiilang.’
How long did it take for her to shoot her sensitive scenes?
“Yung masturbation scene, importante siya kaya one day ko siya shinoot. Sobrang spoiled ko that day. Lahat ng gusto ko, binibigay nila,’ she said with a laugh.
“Yung love scene one day rin.’
She then revealed that she also shot a love scene with another male talent.
“Yung guy medyo ilang ng konti. Kung kinakabahan ako, mas lalo na siya. Kailangan ako yung maging strong at mas maging supportive sa kaeksena ko na kulang sa experience.
“Yung ka-eksena ko, nanginginig talaga siya! Ako, sinasabi ko, ‘Kuya, relax ka lang, huwag kang kabahan. Yung reaction mo, normal lang, kung ano ang ginagawa mo pag nakakakita ka ng babae.’’
How is it having Cholo as her onscreen partner?
“Okay naman si Cholo. Friends kami. Kailangan rin para maging kumportable ako sa kanya.’
How daring was she when she shot her love scene with Cholo?
“Nipple tape lang then plaster. Si Cholo, every time na nagku-cut, pinoprotektahan niya ako. Tinatakpan niya talaga ako.
“Also the production, yung ginawa ni Direk, lahat ng camera crew, yung mga taga ilaw, ginawang babae. Pina-alis yung mga lalaki. Pina-setup lang nila then puro babae na.’
“Ang Manananggal sa Unit 23B” shows the struggles of Jewel, a ‘manananggal’ (creature who separates from its lower body and becomes a winged monster at night) who falls in love with a broken-hearted man (played by Martin del Rosario).
Ryza says she she showed three modes of Jewel:
‘Yung normal, yung hunt mode niya saka yung ‘manananggal’ siya.
May mild na sexy then yung nagiging monster siya.’
Did she hesitate accepting this project when she learned that she would have intimate scenes in this project?
“Hindi naman. Natapos ko nga, e!’ she said with a laugh.
“Sila natakot na baka ako hindi ko magawa kasi nga first time ko nga siya gawin.”

PAMBANSANG BAE Alden Richards confessed that he’s been receiving death threats. Prior to his father’s (Richard Faulkerson Sr. Alden’s dad), Facebook post, he’s been receiving a lot of threats.
“Since the beginning naman po, before that issue, I already have my own lifethreatening situations. I asked the help of GMA Artist Center and from the NBI to do something about it. We’ve been taking actions naman po with regards to that.”
However, the family believes that they are just threats, and nothing really serious will happen.
“Kasi ang akin lang naman po, if you’re threatening someone, there’s a 90 percent probability na hindi mo siya gagawin because you are threatening.
“Yung mga nagti-threat, hindi nagsasabi ‘yan. Ginagawa na lang nila.
“There are a lot of people like that, especially in social media.
“Napakadaling gumawa ng statements and threats like that.
“Pero so far naman po, we’ve been very careful with that and, kumbaga, we just take extra caution kapag nasa labas.
“Kumbaga, yung mga threats like that are being done by people na siguro walang magawa.” says the 24-year old kapuso actor.
As of press time, Alden leaves it up to the NBI for further investigation. Meanwhile, the actor is so happy with the turn of events. He just signed an exclusive contract with GMA network.
