CLARK FREEPORT—More than 600 runners from 17 running clubs across Pampanga and Tarlac gathered at Filinvest Shoppes Mimosa on Aug. 9 for the “Mimosa Weekend Stride,” a community-driven event that blended fitness, fellowship, and fun.
Starting at 4 a.m., participants took on 5K, 10K, and 16K routes through the scenic Filinvest Mimosa Plus estate. The event also featured a training session led by Coach Miko and a lively “Coffee Rave”—a morning party with music and artisanal brews that energized the runners post-race.
A message board filled with handwritten notes captured the spirit of the event, with runners sharing personal motivations: “Running is therapy,” “I run because I want to live long,” and “To run with the force is to live with the force.”
Made possible by Filinvest Mimosa Plus in collaboration with Coffee and Miles Run Club, and in partnership with Filinvest Shoppes Mimosa and Filinvest Malls Mimosa, the event celebrated the vibrant and growing running culture in Central Luzon—showcasing the power of movement to bring communities together.
This successful event is supported by Hyve Sports, Decathlon, Globe Telecom, Centro Coffee, Project Runner, Meta Sport Training, Stretch Lab PH, JCIR Events Management, and iPlunge.
