SANTA ROSA, Nueva Ecija – An elderly businessman who owned a huge mango plantation in nearby Jaen town was killed by unidentified gunmen along the national road in Barangay La Fuente here at about 12:45 p.m. Monday.
Police identified the victim as Nicasio Yuson Jr., 75, resident of Barangay Sapang, Jaen, Nueva Ecija.
Investigation disclosed the victim was driving a Toyota Fortuner (UPQ 427) when, upon reaching a bridge, he was shot by the riding–in–tandem suspects.
The victim sustained three gunshot wounds from a still undetermined caliber.
Police have yet to establish the motive behind the killing.
Santa Rosa police station OIC Maj. Fortune Dianne Bernardo said a dragnet operation has been laid out against the suspects.
