RIA ATAYDE and Maine Mendoza “message a lot on Instagram” and they are on good terms.
Currently, Ria is very happy especially now that her brother Arjo Atayde is dating Eat Bulaga’s phenomenal star Maine Mendoza.
“Happy siya, and I think that’s all that matters, you know?” says the ABS-CBN actress. Ria is also glad that Arjo is not aff ected at all by bashers.
The daughter of Sylvia Sanchez said, “Sobrang passive niya as a person.
“As in in one ear, out the other. Wala lang. Okay siya.”
Are Ria and Maine on good terms? She answered, “We’re good, like, we message a lot on Instagram.
“But not enough to say that I’m close to her. Not barkada.
“She’s also very busy, I’m also very busy.
“We haven’t been able to hang out talaga.”
Ria faced her share of bashers early this year when netizens accused the Atayde siblings as “users” because of Arjo’s relationship with Maine.
Learning from this experience, Ria has taught herself to simply ignore online comments altogether.
She said, “You know what, I don’t read na lang nowadays. That’s my new coping mechanism.
“Post lang ako nang post, pero hindi ako nagbabasa.
“Or I don’t know, I find comfort in the fact that there could be legal measure done to these people if I really wanted to.
“Hinihintay ko lang boiling point ko, pero hindi naman. Wala naman. I don’t think I will.
“These people who bash, they are fans who don’t get what they want.
“For me, go, let them say whatever they want.
“As long as I know the truth in my heart, alam mo yun?
“It’s not naman something they can disprove.” she stressed.
