OLONGAPO CITY—A retired policeman formerly assigned at Police Regional Office-Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao was arrested by joint operatives of City Intelligence Branch of the Olongapo City PNP, City Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operation Task Force and SBMA Law Enforcement during a drug operation in Upper Sibul, Barangay East Tapinac here.
Olongapo City Police Office director Senior Supt. Jerry Sumbad identified the suspect as SPO2 Agakhan Ibra Barazar, alias Sarge, native of Lanao Del Sur. Inspector Jerry Abaigar said they first conducted a test buy of drug and found it positive leading to a buy bust operation and arrest of the suspect in the act of selling shabu worth P300 to a police poseur-buyer.
Recovered from the suspect were five transparent plastic sachets of shabu and the marked money.
Sumbad commended the Olongapo City police for the successful operation.
“Our organization (PNP) is truly unprejudiced and unbiased in doing its mandated task to dispel all negative perception of the community in executing the Project Double Barrel,” he added.
