“Project Epanaw” is a joint project of The NCIP and Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) under the Department of Tourism.

“Epanaw” is a Manobo word which means journey.

The project showcases Indigenous Cultural Communities (ICCs) and IPs, their ancestral domains, customs, and traditions, said NCIP R3. It also features the IPs’ rituals and festivities, tourism destinations, protected areas, and critical infrastructures.

Likewise, according to the NCIP R3 the project aims to highlight the IPs contributions to national unity and development.

The three-book series Pagkilala (Recognition), Paggalang (Respect), and Pagtaguyod (Promote) aim to present a true and accurate picture of IPs, giving readers a better understanding of the IPs according to NCIP R3.

The books will be distributed to all ICCs in Central Luzon, and development partners from national government agencies, Government-Owned and Controlled Corporation, Non-Government Organizations, and Civil Society Groups, said NCIP R3.

Meanwhile, the photo exhibit will run from March 21 to April 4 at SM City Tarlac Cinema 1 and SM City Cabanatuan Cinema 4.
