CITY OF SAN FERNANDO– Police remain clueless on the identities of the suspects in the massacre of a family of seven in Barangay Telabastagan here last Friday.

“Ala pang malino suspek (There are still no clear suspects),” said Senior Supt. Oscar Albayalde when asked on the progress of the police investigation into the massacre of the Edejer family.

Albayalde said he was set to meet with Task Force Edejer yesterday for updates on the investigation. On Monday, Nicolas Edejer, 42, the lone survivor and patriarch of the Edejer family, succumbed to a gunshot wound in the head at the Sacred Heart Hospital in nearby Angeles City.

Reports said Nicolas died at 3:45 a.m. on the said day as confirmed by Dr. Keith Vitan. Massacred last Friday with gunshots to the head were Edejer’s wife Corazon, 48; son Kenneth, 19; nephew Nelson Dominico, 17; housemaids Teresita Lansangan, 40, and Kaykay, 27; and masseuse Benigno Villanueva, 52.

Reports said the six were found dead in separate areas in the two houses within their compound at No. 19 Molave Street, L&S Subdivision in the attack that police estimated happened between 4 a.m. and 6 p.m. Friday.

Edejer’s nine-yearold son, who arrived from school at around 5 p.m., was spared. He and two friends discovered the grisly murders after climbing the locked gate to gain entry into the compound.
