ABUCAY, Bataan — The Bataan Police Provincial Office led in the commemoration of Araw ng mga Bayani or National Heroes Day at the ground of the municipal hall here Monday.
Col. Romell Velasco, Bataan police director, headed the simple ceremony attended by different police agencies and other guests led by Post Commander Verginia De Guzman of the Veterans Federation of the Philippines.
PNP Director-General Rodolfo Azurin, Jr. sent a message read by Velasco. This was followed by the offering of wreaths of flowers at the foot of the monument of national hero Dr. Jose Rizal.
“Ginanap ang seremonya upang gunitain at ipagdiwang ang kagitingan ng mga bayani ng ating bansa. Pagnilayan natin ang pagsisikap ng ating mga modernong bayani na handang magsakripisyo at maglingkod sa bayan ng buong puso para sa kapakanan ng bawat Pilipino,” Velasco said.
