PHL’s grandest press club turns 69

CLARK FREEPORT – The Pampanga Press Club held its 69th anniversary at the Hilltop Restaurant at the Mimosa complex here on Tuesday as it also celebrated the second-year anniversary of its online news portal IOrbit.com.ph.

The PPC is one of the oldest, if not the oldest press club in the Philippines while IOrbit.com is the first online news portal wholly-owned by a press organization.

Special Assistant to the President Cristopher “Bong” Go was the guest of honor and speaker. During his speech, Go reiterated his desire not to run for a senate seat unless President Duterte himself will ask him to run.

Otherwise, Go said, he is contented with serving the President. Go also made fun of his political detractors during his keynote address where he also enjoined everybody to support the Duterte administration.

Atty. Gener C. Endona, Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) – Pampanga Chapter president and Punto Central Luzon general manager, inducted into office the new set of officers of the PPC.

During the program, the PPC also awarded certifi cates of recognition to SAP Go and Atty. Endona.

The new PPC officers were led by president Diosdado “Deng” Pangilinan, executive vice president Noel Anthony G. Tulabut, vice president for print Minerva Zamora-Arceo, vice president for broadcast Antoinette “Tonette” Orejas, secretary Arlene Ente-Lukban, treasurer Ashley Manabat, auditor Raymond Rendy Isip and directors Eric jimenez, Reynaldo Navales, Josmin “Jojo” Due, Jesus Y. Malabanan, Diosdado “Ding” Cervantes and Joey N. Pavia.

Also, in attendance were various guests and friends of the media.
