CLARK FREEPORT – A total of 187 American citizens residing in the Philippines
benefited from the first remote services conducted here by the United States Embassy.
The US. Embassy’s American Citizens Services (ACS) provided notarial services, accepted Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA) applications, and received US passport applications on April 26 at the Health and Sanitation Division training hall in Building 2093.
Consul Michael William Leach thanked the Clark Development Corp., under the leadership of Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera. “We are thankful to the CDC for providing us with the facility, and we couldn’t express our gratitude enough to the CDC for this.”
Applicants from Angeles City and the surrounding areas praised the US Embassy remote services in Clark for their convenience, proximity, and family-friendly approach.
“The US Embassy remote services in Clark are extremely convenient. We no longer have to drive three hours to Manila and then go through the waiting process. It’s less stressful,” said Thea Morrison, a resident of the City of San Fernando.
“It’s great because I don’t have to travel all the way to Manila to get my passport, so I kind of like it,” shared James Reiindle. “A great convenience for a lot of us because instead of Manila, they come here for us and take care of the issues that we need to address.”
“It’s also a real convenience for us for the US Embassy to come here because we need to report the birth of my daughter, who was born last January, and we don’t need to travel with our daughter in Manila,” said Brian Peters from Angeles City.
Representatives from the Bureau of Immigration and the Philippine Retirement Agency were also present at the event. CDC-PR
